Patient Treatments
At FADental, we want every patient to have the smile they deserve.
Ronald A.
Ronald needed Root canals, crown lengthening, crowns, fillings and two good Partials to allow him to chew his food and smile. The previous partial did not do either. The treatment started with saving two roots, by doing root canals. We had to do crown lengthening to allow more tooth exposure for the crown part. It was continued with crowns and partials. Valplast was used for the upper and metal for the bottom, because the bottom teeth did not have enough retention for a partial.

Estaban R.
Esteban had lost his occlusion (how teeth meet over each other) due to extreme breakage of teeth. He wanted a set of teeth that would allow him to chew his food and to look nice when he smiled. His treatment included, Root canals, crowns, fillings and Valplast Partials (Valplast is a plastic material that does not break as easily as acrylic and will not have metal clasps showing).

Preventive Treatments
Preventive dentistry is the foundation of good dental practice. This involves regular dental examinations, x-rays and hygiene visits. When necessary we can provide decay risk assessment testing, dietary counseling, plaque control and fluoride therapy. Our aim is to significantly reduce risk of tooth decay and gum disease in our patients.

Dental Implant
Implant Dentistry
Dental implants are artificial titanium roots that are inserted into the jawbone to replace missing natural teeth. Implants have three segments. The fixture, the abutment and the crown. They can make an attractive alternative to dentures and bridges. Dental implant techniques can replace one or several missing teeth. In some cases, an entire set of artificial teeth can be carried on dental implants.

Crown and Bridges
Crown and Bridge
Crowns are an ideal restoration for teeth that have significantly broken or been weakened by decay or a large filling. A crown fits over the remaining part of the tooth, providing strength, shape, and color of a natural tooth.
A bridge can be use to replace one or more missing teeth. A bridge fits over the teeth on either side of the gap that serve as anchors for the replacement tooth.
Crowns and Bridges are usually made of porcelain and gold alloy. Porcelain is strong and is resistant to staining. Gold Alloy is used for its strength, hardness and durability. Gold alloy and porcelain are well tolerated by the gum and cheek – an allergic reaction is rare.

Root Canal
Endodontics (Root Canal Treatment)
The aim of endodontic treatment (root canal treatment) is to save a tooth that has been badly damaged due to decay, disease or injury. Treatment involves the removal of infected or damaged dental pulp (nerve); cleaning, disinfecting and shaping of the root canals; filling and sealing of the root canals.

Periodontics (Treatment Of Gum Disease)
Periodontal disease is the inflammation and infection of the gums. It is caused by plaque, a thick and sticky film of bacteria that builds up around the teeth. Plaque can harden to become calculus. Plaque and calculus are caused by poor oral hygiene.
Signs of periodontal disease:
Red, swollen, tender, painful or bleeding gums
Gums that have shrunk from the teeth
Persistent bad breath
A bad taste in the mouth
Abscesses between teeth and gums
Loose teeth and gaps appearing between teeth
Periodontal treatment involves the definitive removal of calculus from around the teeth and root surfaces and precise oral hygiene instruction including brushing technique and frequency as well as cleaning between teeth. |
Dentures
Removable Prosthodontics
A removable denture can be constructed to replace several missing teeth. Dentures can be constructed in plastic or metal frames with retaining clasps to help to keep dentures in place.

Night Guard
Night Guard for Bruxism & TMJ pain
Bruxism is excessive grinding or clenching of the teeth that is not part of normal chewing movement. It can lead to excess wear on the teeth and may cause permanent damage to the teeth and the jaw joints.
Signs and symptoms of bruxism may include:
· Sensitivity to heat and cold
· Clicking of the jaw joint
· Facial pain with tension headaches
· Earache or pain in the jaw joint
· Flattened and worn tooth surfaces
· Loose, broken or chipped teeth
· Micro fractures of the tooth enamel
Treatment may involve the making of a night guard or bite splint to protect teeth from injury and wear and reduce facial pain. Some patients may require muscle relaxant tablets at night. We may also recommend counseling, stress management or relaxation methods for stress-related causes of bruxism.
